SYMBOIS.

By Thomas Cody

Title: Symbois
Art by: Natalie Guinta
Picture Taken By: Thomas Cody

In my opinion what this picture is trying to reveal is that there are two parts of this girl. She is trying to reveal to two parts to her identity, the two parts that make her, as a person, up. One face looks angered while the other looks happy; this picture strikes me as the devil and angle on your shoulder, your two personalities. I get the feeling that the artist is trying to show the part of her self that she usually keeps hidden from everybody else in society.

The piece is very well composed made with graphite on white paper,  it appears very well put together. The heads are nowhere near the center of the picture; this makes your eyes wonder all around it. The thing about this piece though, is that it keeps me wondering, it makes me want to get to know this person closely. I want to know how this person acts around other people so I can see how her personality actually plays into her art making process.
